COVID Safety Policy

The First Event 2023 staff is committed to providing a safe and welcoming community for all attendees. We ask that if you feel sick and/or test positive for covid-19 that you stay home.

In accordance with the current guidelines/requirements, attendees at First Event 2023 will not be required to provide proof of vaccination or negative test results. We prefer that all attendees are vaccinated against covid-19, but we do not require that.

We will follow the mask guidelines set by the city of Boston, which are subject to change.  The current guidelines are as follows:

“Effective July 1, 2022, the Department of Public Health advises that individuals should wear a mask or face covering when indoors (and not in your own home) if you have a weakened immune system, or if you are at increased risk for severe disease because of your age or an underlying medical condition, or if someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease.”

Mask usage is not currently mandated.  We require all attendees to be respectful of each other, and honor each individual’s need/desire to wear a mask. Each attendee should assess their tolerance for the risks associated with attending an indoor conference.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
