PeabodyEssexFirst Event is proud to announce our first Evening of Elegance, a night of glamour, glitz and gaiety at the Peabody Essex Museum, Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. This optional activity during First Event 2014 is included with the Full Conference Registration.

We have arranged the evening’s transportation from the Peabody Marriott Hotel. Your chariot awaits around 5:00 pm Thursday evening to take you to the famous PEM – Peabody Essex Museum, where you will be taken to the special exhibit, Future Beauty: Avant-Guard Japanese Fashion. Be sure to see the exhibit by 7:00 pm when it closes.

GigiThen we are whisked off to an elegant function room for an evening of cocktails, elegance, fine food and music. Be sure to dress to the nines and have your picture taken on the breathtaking four story spiral staircase! Your evening is hosted by Marquesa Gigi Gill, Queen of Salem. Mayor Kim Driscoll will also attend.

First Event 2014 goes out this year for one very special and very elegant evening. We will have the museum to ourselves so whether you are experience on being out in the world or this may be a first time for you, it will be a night to remember. Join us!

EasternBankThe Evening of Elegance event will include special recognition of our First Community Leadership Award. The award is presented to a community organization that exemplifies leadership and reinforces human dignity within the trans-community. We are proud to bestow Eastern Bank with the inaugural award! Eastern Bank provides proud support for many LGBT initiatives and hundreds of worthwhile community causes. The award presentation will be the highlight of the Evening of Elegance program.
